Satish Seemar - The early years..
Following a childhood in Abohar India, Satish Seemar sucessfully completed his BA in History at St. Stephen's College New Delhi.
Satish moved to the United States to begin his equine education at the famous SHASTA colege in California in the year of 1984. After one year he gained a Diploma in Horse Husbandry and went on to study at Cal Poly san Louis Obispo, California to stury animal science. There, he specialised in Equine science.
This course included a 3 month assignment to Colorado State University, Fort Collins to study a specialised course in Equine Artificial Insemination. There Satish caught the eye of world famous horseman Monty Roberts. Roberts invited Satish to work alongside him and gain hands on experience in horse psychology. The work with Monty influenced his career immensely and until this day, Monty and Satish remain close friends. They currently meet on a yearly basis to utilize, discuss and exchange the latest research, achievements and discoveries of equine science.
"I have had a long and gratifying career in the horse industry and have known Satish for the past 25 years now as both a friend and pupil.
Helping young people has been one of the most satisfying aspects of that career and Satish Seemar ranks high on the list of rewards I've received. Good horses can certainly bring pride to one. People however, can even bring one a greater sense of pride.
When I consider who Satish is and what he has done, it is point of pride with me virtually unequalled".

Satish's involvement with Taylor Made Farms, one of the top breeding and sales organisations in Kentucky, made his Highnes Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approach Satish in 1990 to come to Dubai and help realize his dream of setting up one of the most prestigious racing destinations in the world. The project started by designing, developing and constructing the famous Zabeel Racing Stables in Dubai. Satish visited all 5 continents and their racing facilities to get an overview of the best and most superior concepts in the racing industry. The Stables are set in unique surroundings with outstanding training facilities for both thoroughbred and Arabian racehorses.
Emirates Racing Association and the establishment of world class horse racing started from the drawing boards of Zabeel Stables. Both national and International stables in Dubai are built and managed by the high standards of Zabeel Stables, which served as a blueprint for all racing related facilities.

Then in 1993 – only a year after racing began in the Emirates – Satish made history by becoming the first UAE-based trainer to win a race in Europe when Dayflower won the Middleton Stakes at York in the United Kingdom.
The success paved the way for Godolphin and their hugely successful policy of wintering horses in Dubai. His pioneering talent was rewarded with his first championship in 1997-1998, before repeating the trick two years later.
His third and final title was earned in 2000-01, but he looks favourite for another this 2006-07 campaign, such is his tremendous firepower following his appointment at Millennium Stables back in March.
Sheikh Rashid bin Rashid Al Maktoum cherry-picked Satish as the man, who could steer the powerhouse operation back on track. It means the former three-time champion trainer now has more than 200 horses at his disposal, split between Zabeel and Millennium, and, apart from eyeing a fourth title, Satish is also looking to make further marks overseas.
Apart from his exploits on the track, the trainer is also responsible for establishing the highly-successful Al Fares trade show – one of the most prestigious and successful events in the horse industry.
Honoured for his commitment of successfully establishing "AL FARES" international exhibition
In 2003 Satish was honoured for his commitment of successfully establishing "AL FARES" international exhibition and through his involvement in the higher committee, to make this trade show one of the most prestigious and successful events in the horse industry.
Since 2004 Satish has been successfully participating at international race meetings in England, France, Japan, Argentina and America.
